About

Interfaces that make people say “wow”

After ten years in the restaurant trade, I had seen all it had to offer: in 2018, I retrained as a developer.

What do I love?
Designing polished interfaces that make people say “wow” the moment they land on them. My first ones were a bit garish: I learnt the hard way, and it left me with an eye for the right detail.
The project I'm proudest of?
A fire safety application that helps firefighters plan their response to incidents. Knowing it will help protect people means a lot to me.
Outside work?
I listen to a lot of music, mostly metal. As for games, I love grand strategy, Europa Universalis above all, and Final Fantasy XIV, my all-time favourite, for which I'm building an app for completionists.

How I work

  1. Listen

To users' needs, as they experience them.

  2. Understand

How people work, the constraints and the goals.

  3. Design in iterations

A first version of my vision, refined step by step.

  4. Get sign-off

Each version is approved before going further.

Projects

Business applications and live websites

A selection of projects carried out at iD3i, then my personal projects: two live websites and an app in progress.

Projects at iD3i

  • Sports club membership management

Product Owner, project manager and developer

Application that brings a sports club's day-to-day running into one place: member records and registrations.

  • Restaurant planning

    Developer

Tool for managing orders, rotas and everything else that comes with running a restaurant. A trade I know from the inside.

  • Favourite

    Fire safety

Product Owner, project manager and developer

Application for creating pre-incident plans for firefighters, looked up by entering a site's details and exported as PDFs. Drawing tool for marking sensitive and high-risk areas on drone photos.

  • Marine pollution response

    Project manager and technical lead

Stock management application for pollution response equipment, so that it is ready on the day it is needed.

  • id3i.fr website redesign

    Developer, functional lead and AI

Complete redesign of the company's website, built on proven technologies backed by the community.

Personal projects

  • Home page of the Ramonéa website

Ramonéa (opens in a new tab)

    ramonea.fr

Website for a chimney sweeping business on the Crozon peninsula: services, prices, FAQ and contact, with a full back office so the owner can manage content, photos, translations and SEO on their own.

    • Vue.js 3
    • TypeScript
    • Supabase
  • Home page of the Les ateliers de Camille website

Les ateliers de Camille (opens in a new tab)

    camilledeboiscuilletherapeute.com

Website of Camille de Boiscuillé, a psychotherapy practitioner in Crozon: her services (art therapy, EMDR, family therapy) presented on an ultra-light static site, with no JavaScript and no cookies.

    • Astro
  • In development

    Final Fantasy XIV app

An app for completionists of Final Fantasy XIV, my all-time favourite game, to track progress across everything the game has to collect.

Interests

Away from the code

A common thread: whether in Final Fantasy XIV or in a tabletop role-playing game, I play the tank. Moving forward as a team while holding an essential role matters to me.

Now playing

Royal Sorrow

Music

Mostly metal, and a lot of video game soundtracks.

Electric Callboy, Sabaton, Ghost, Rammstein and Motörhead

Game soundtracks: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and NieR

Festivals: Hellfest and Motocultor

Video games

History has always fascinated me, and I love games driven by their story.

Strategy: Europa Universalis, Total War, Anno, Ixion and Frostpunk 1 & 2

Stories: Tunic, Outer Wilds and Baldur's Gate 3

Around a table

Chess, quick little games, never-ending games of Risk… and tabletop role-playing games, which I'd love to play more often.
